Moment’s Notice Band featuring Alphonso Thomas

Moments Notice was a 90s smooth jazz/funk combo of former Air Force Band musicians that began with saxophonist Alphonso Thomas, drummer Leroy Wilson (Chris Hicks Band) and guitarist Rob Walker (Stillwater) experimenting with challenging, intricate compositions. With the eventual addition of vocalist/keyboardist Tari Purcell, the group solidified and performed regularly until duty took Thomas away from Middle Georgia.

Now, on the occasion of Thomas’ retirement from the Air Force Senior Executive Service, Moment’s Notice is reuniting and performing at Grant’s Lounge. The band will be joined by Jesse Dixon, who has performed with Babyface, Frankie Beverly an Maze and Vickie Winans, on keyboards and John Larry Graham on bass.
