The Pinx Album Release with guest Magnolia Moon
August 19 @ 9:00 pm
Dubbed “a modern psychedelic rock band from the south”, The Pinx is an encompassed crew of rock & rollers serving up some severe slick riffs that harbor fans of Led Zeppelin, Rival Sons, Ty Segall & Freedom Band, and Queens of the Stone Age.
2020’s Electric! EP, released right in the middle of the pandemic, became a ‘soundtrack for going walkabout in wilds of rural Georgia, where having a fist-raising good time and attaining spiritual enlightenment are one in the same’ (RadATL). “I just sat down and wrote this record with Chance when it came time,” says lead singer and guitarist Adam McIntyre. “All the lyrics and music were there within a few weeks. Nobody really told anyone else what to play, yet everyone knew what to do.”
Although The Pinx spent much of 2021 writing and recording, they are gearing up for releasing their fourth record and spending much of the new year on the road. The untitled record produced and mixed by Tom Tapley (Mastodon, The Vegabonds), is best described as a giant rock & roll record. Full of big choruses and intertwining guitar solos, this new record sees The Pinx firing on all cylinders of creativity.
Macon’s own rockers, Magnolia Moon, open the show.
